Deonte The Alien feat Naalah - Man On The Moon (streets) (Single)

During the week, we kept seeing clips from the visual treatment to Deonte The Alien & Naalah's newest single titled “Man On The Moon,” which initially had both emcees sitting among the moon and the stars on this extraterrestrial expedition of rhyme schemes & otherworldly emotions that are serving nicely in this PlaygroundCo-directed visual. Our first introduction to Deonte The Alien, and he has already stuck us in a trance, to hopefully see more people getting behind an artist who’s bringing a new sound to the table, and I’m sure that’s just the start.

The record starts with the eerie intro of Jobé’s production powering up slowly before igniting the spark in Deonte’s flow, who begins to tell the tale of his late-night excursions in this soft tempo rhyme scheme that is peeling back the covers on his bedroom activities to give you a peak of what the night has in store for him and his companion without a minute to waste for their intimate session. It almost feels like a secret he’s telling, with how calmly he whispers to the listeners, and in the visual, he builds this mystery aura around him that completely captures his arcane essence. Taking off right where he left, Naalah doesn’t waste any time in getting in her rapping bag as she floats over the production with ease, swiftly stamping her prestigious wordplay in a fitting manner that you can easily highlight her verse as being one of her best ever and continues to showcase how much-forbidden madness she brings to the scene. Another key element to point out is the visual’s ability to create this unique space on each artist’s style creatively, translating beautifully and giving such a grand viewing to enjoy over and over again.

The visual concept was enjoyable and went along perfectly with the single’s theme; seeing their collaboration become effortless with mystique can only make you imagine what the performance of this record looks like. We need to be present for that in the future, but in the meantime, we recommend you get familiar with the single so you can sing it word for word when it’s performed.
