Angel Cintron - F U (Single)
After this year’s SXSW, Angel Cintron welcomed a new record to her catalog with a much different approach than we’ve heard from her before; where she explored more of a hardcore persona in this explicitly sung ballad titled “F U” where we hear Angel coursed with a heartache dealing with an emotional breaking point that has sent her emotion over the deep end. The release became a massive phenomenon for her overnight due to the emotional impact of the visual directed by DaveeDavee, whose cinematic vision brought the single to life in such an incredible light. It’s become an infectious single to sing out loud, and we know it will become her fan-favorite to perform in no time.
Angel has a brief moment of clarity right at the start of the record with wanting your love back. Still, it immediately halted with her reminiscing of your previous conversation with her. You put the fault on her and left no grounds for discussion; it’s your way or no way, as you so put it, and right there became the issue that set her mood off, with her response being “Fuck You.” Without letting you get the next word in, Angel relives her stress in the second verse with her first attempting to give you the benefit of the doubt before realizing this is another trick in your scheme and proceeding to let out the biggest middle finger in audio form to let you know that you're fucked up bad. Stress-free in a nonchalant manner, Angel ends the pressure of dealing with you and your bullshit dramatically, not having to hear any more lies and exacting the revenge she wants, and that’s to sing to your demise and watch you now deal with the consequences. The visual brings forth the playful character of Angel’s personality where you can tell she had so much fun on set and yet shows her immense passion for letting off a bit of steam once in a while but doing it the best way she knows how.
Seeing the powerhouse Angel Cintron has been from day one and seeing all she put in all these years continues to pay off in seeing so many new fans approach her latest releases and find her catalog in the process. I’m sure there is much more to be seen from her this year, but for now we’re going to enjoy the latest gift from her and recommend yall do the same.
