Duvin - Heatin’ Up ! (EP)
It’s been about four years since Duvin dropped a full compilation cut featuring artists sliding over his signature production. While he’s been relatively quiet since, the tide is clearly turning. With a major project on the horizon, Duvin fires up the engines again with a fresh EP titled “Heatin’ Up”
The EP is a short but potent reminder of why Duvin’s sound continues to leave a mark in the underground. He taps in with some of his usual suspects: King Khali, Yung Bambi, KiddKill, and Taylay77, each of whom is given solo space to shine. Over Duvin’s impeccable, shape-shifting beats, each artist crafts their own universe, and when you play the EP in sequence, it builds a haunting yet powerful sound that demands to be respected.
There’s an undeniable chemistry at play here. Whether it’s Khali’s commanding cadence, Bambi’s off-kilter flair, KiddKill’s sharp delivery, or Taylay77’s poised presence, they each find a distinct lane and make it theirs. Together, it feels like more than a one-off. It feels like a collective storm is forming.
After chopping it up with Duvin recently, he shared that a full-length collaborative project is already in the finishing stages, this time with a well-known producer-slash-rapper who has plenty of buzz behind his name. While we’ll keep that info under wraps for now, rest assured: the announcement will shake a few things up once it drops. With “Heatin’ Up”, Duvin is setting the tone for what’s to come and if this is just the prelude, then the next chapter might just engulf the whole scene again.
