Father Sokka & ZAYOF2MRW - THEM (Album)

After praising Father Sokka’s 2023 release “Out The Wrapper”, I had high hopes to continue covering her journey and sure enough, her latest full-length project “THEM” delivers with unrelenting force. This time around, Father Sokka doesn’t just unwrap the truth, she rips it apart, using the mic like a weapon in what feels like a violent therapy session. And the results are explosive.

Laced with precision sharp production from ZAYOF2MRW, “THEM” is fuel-injected and loaded with grit, angst, and emotional release. Soka sounds more comfortable than ever, crafting each track with precision and purpose, tapping into a fiery chamber of rage, hurt, confidence, and control. It’s a barrage of emotions, but never messy, every verse feels intentional, every beat drop perfectly timed.

The record “kill your producer” sets the tone immediately with venomous bars that refuse to let up. The records sounds like a declaration that Father Sokka is done playing nice. She’s confronting past wounds and retaliating through rhyme, letting her pain morph into power.

“Hoe Step” is another standout. What begins as a slow burn morphs into a full-blown sonic inferno by the second half, showcasing her ability to build tension and detonate it with precision. The track’s progression mirrors her growth as an artist, measured, patient, but always ready to strike.

Front to back, “THEM” is a proud product for Father Sokka. It’s gritty and intensely personal, an album that invites both longtime fans and new listeners into her world. With “THEM”, Father Sokka doesn’t just continue her rise, she accelerates it.
