Hoodlum & Peso Peso - Family Matters (Album)

When I first saw the announcement for Hoodlum and Peso Peso’s collaborative project “Family Matters”, complete with cover art showing both prominent artists alongside their children, I knew this was going to be something special. Sure enough, that instinct was spot on.

The album delivers truck-rattling production paired with authentic storytelling, as both artists dive deep into themes of fatherhood, street life, and the relentless grind that brought them to this moment. Features from Paul Wall and Sauce Walka add even more firepower, showcasing Hoodlum and Peso Peso’s ability to collaborate without ever competing for the spotlight. Instead, they work in sync, elevating each track to its fullest potential.

The opener, “Mansion Music,” lays the foundation perfectly, setting the tone for what’s to come, an elite execution from start to finish. “Syrup Walkin” stands out with their signature vocal styles parading in vibrant fashion, giving fans exactly what they came for and more.

“Family Matters” is more than just a collaboration. It’s proof that when two artists of this caliber come together with mutual respect and a shared vision, the result is nothing short of remarkable.
