Bamboon - No Samples Left (EP)

Now and then, you come across a project that immediately earns a permanent spot in your rotation. For me, that project is Bamboon’s latest EP, “No Samples Left.”

Clocking in at just five tracks, the EP wastes no time making an impression. Since discovering it, it’s been the soundtrack to countless late-night drives through the streets of Houston and San Antonio. There’s something about its smooth production that effortlessly blends Florida flavor with the energy of the nightlife, making it the perfect companion whether you’re cruising downtown or taking the long way home.

Rich, jazzy melodies are paired with crisp, hard-hitting drums that create an atmosphere that’s both laid-back and undeniably infectious. It’s the kind of project that sounds even better through a quality sound system, filling your ride with warm instrumentation and head-nodding rhythms that make every track easy to revisit. Refer to the project however you like, say it’s phonk influence or whatever but you can’t deny it’s level of insanity on production, I think it’s much more important to not block in it with a genre really.

There isn’t a moment that feels out of place, and despite its brief runtime, every song contributes to a complete listening experience. Bamboon demonstrates an impressive ear for drum patterns and sequencing, proving that you don’t need a lengthy tracklist to leave a lasting impression.

As someone who spends a lot of time discovering new music, “No Samples Left” has become an easy favorite. It’s a project that captures a unique vibe while remaining highly replayable, and it continues to find its way back into my speakers day after day.

If you’re looking for an EP with soulful textures, jazzy production, and drums that knock without overpowering the music, “No Samples Left” deserves your attention. For me, it’s without question my favorite project of the month, and one I highly recommend adding to your rotation.
