The Weekly Dip 2/23/24

It’s the last Friday of February, and we thought we have some releases for you to check out during the weekend. We’re preparing for SXSW season in the next couple of days; as we can see, a lot of our peers are, too; we hope to see you out there enjoying the showcases and the event’s success.

Izzy93 - First Day Out (Video)

Welcome home, Izzy93; his triumphant return was met with monumental love & support from his fans as soon he hit the mall to update his diamond collection. Literally within the hours, he had his first performance among his 93 crew, who did an excellent job of holding the fort during his absence. As you probably know, Izzy93 wouldn’t let too much time go by until he had himself a “First Day Out” visual, which didn’t miss a beat on his lyrical prowess and gained views well within 24 hours, already exceeding past the 10 thousand mark & counting. Izzy93 raps in pristine form to step back into the reigns he once roamed and get back what he had and much more this time. Izzy93 seems more relaxed and understands the importance of his freedom, which I know he will stand on business and see more of his success happen tenfold.

The Alien Babe - Shiny (Single)

After teasing that a new single was coming soon, it wasn’t enough to get us prepared for The Alien Babe's latest single titled “Shiny,” where we were under the impression this could be one of her signature melodic bops but fortunately, we ended up with something different and unique to know more about The Alien Babe in a personable manner. Feeling the effects of being misused, The Alien Babe emotionally draws you into this ballad with tears running across her face that duplicates instantly with the listeners hearing this tale of once being whole after so many wears and tears of her heart that it doesn’t sparkle the way she used to. The record involves this soft tempo production before exploding towards the end in a rock aesthetic melody that slowly ends with her heart on her sleeve. We’ve never heard The Alien Babe in this kind of sound, and I’m very interested to see what follows from here with full support.

TEARS - Switchin Up (Video)

After her single “Switchin Up” harnessed a blissful vibe with listeners, TEARS decided it was time to bring the vivid experience to the viewers where she dropped the visual treatment earlier in the week where fans from all over have been voicing their praise for the video. TEARS is seen parading around an antique store with her mind on one thing: an intimate moment between her and her love interest. Don’t go switching up on her because the consequence can be disastrous for you. The video has been notably posted throughout our feed this week, even getting a placement on Sleepingongems, where the comment section has been glowing with new fans getting their latest introduction to the ethereal sounds of TEARS. She has a show in San Antonio next month, so I hope you plan on buying tickets to see the single performed in a live setting.

Sunnitharapper - I Like Girls (Video)

After teasing for weeks of an upcoming hit in the works, Sunnitharapper revealed her latest release titled “I Like Girls” earlier in the week; that has been getting attention due to its x-rated nature, which isn’t new for Sunni, so her fans have been feasting it up all week, and gaining notoriety since. Don’t leave your lady around Sunni, or she’s snatch her up for real; she adores when girls love girls, and the infectious chorus doesn’t let you forget it. Sunnitharapper even had a visual for the single show the proactive actions with women swapping spit in an all-girl slumber party that seems to be heating the temperature up. Sunni stays rapping in elite manner, especially when speaking on the thrill of being up and down with another woman and what comes from the next moment. It’s another titillating release from Sunni that will surely make you wanting more and more.

Wiardon - Take A Hint (Video)

Off his recently released 2-piece EP, Wiardon dropped the visual treatment to his record “Take A Hint” with QNTM behind the lens, where we get to endure this godly performance by Wiardon, who is in the cut free flowing like water. Swtifly embracing his nonchalant charisma to make rapping in prestigious form look so easy, there’s a reason you never get a dull moment in his music, and that’s because he’s elevating your mind every time he gets to spitting. Taking the next step leveling up in everything he does, expect Wiardon to keep the foot on the gas on his upcoming releases because something tells me he’s just stirring a bit of chaos before he drops oblivion on the opposition.

Sarayu - Sunday Morning (Single)

After 2023 only saw one single from Sarayu, she decided to make headway entering 2024 by getting a new ballad out immediately in February titled “Sunday Morning” that brings back her harmonious voice to describe the end of the week morning pouring rain with her attention fixated on a love interest that didn’t seem to work out. Her emotional state is reacted in the single, balancing the highs & lows when it comes to the emotional roller coaster she’s on. It’s a beautiful record with a heartbreaking tale yet Sarayu still stays afloat with an ethereal feel throughout, making it a record you must hear.

WTFbrandon & Dreamiecloud - Let Go (Video)

With the gifted direction of Cranch, WTFbrandon & Dreamiecloud are seen in this VHS cinematic visual of their collaboration single “Let Go.” WTFbrandon begins by reminiscing about the good things he enjoyed with a love interest before detailing the tragedy, following after that, unfortunately, ended the relationship. It still haunts him to know if the right decisions were made or if the right things were said; a small level of doubt eats around at his psyche before he realizes he needs to let go. Dreamiecloud picks up right where Brandon left off, songfully explaining how her situation almost left her in tears and briefly remembering those times that kept a smile on her face to now replaced with heartache. It’s time for her to let go of the past into a new beginning. It’s an eminent performance of the two individual styles that mesh perfectly to make this release an instant success.
