Taylay77 - For Me (EP)
Duvin has his hands in a slew of talent, if I do say so myself, Taylay77 is just the latest addition to that lineup & he's kicking in the new year capitalizing off his last two singles. Both of which are infectious as can be with his debut EP "For Me." A title like that tells me he's not concerned with anybody but himself. He's doing all he's doing for his own benefit; as clearly stated on the title track opener, Tay isn't wasting any time on things that don't help him along his way, solely focused on making the music he wants to make.
Few artists sound this comfortable with themselves on their debut; unfortunately for some, it makes them uneasy to see such confidence. He's "Not Surprised," he knows he has what it takes to win people over by being his authentic self. He's a "Man on Fire," & I think you'd agree, he seems "Real to Me," he's been through the wringer, so to speak, so it's hard to trust or be amused by many cause they ain't who they say they are, that kinda shit gets old after a while so he'd rather stay over here & separate himself from the flock.
With features from Who & Mateo Sun, who gifts him with another classic Teo verse & production entirely from Duvin, Tay just "Walked In" to the scene & completely dominated this debut effort. With the spotlight mostly on him, he shows off his promising talent & charisma, along with his songwriting skills & I think, when it comes to the kind of music he creates. Just like Teo said, "he's the main part, just like the hook," a more factual statement has never been stated & we look forward to seeing him continue to expand on his skill set.
