Miquo - New Jack (Single)

I had the pleasure of getting an early listen to Miquo’s latest release, “New Jack,” a few days before its official release, and let me just say, I’m glad the rest of the world is finally getting to hear this one because this right here is FIRE.

Produced by Moe The Conduit, the production immediately grabs your attention and keeps it there, letting Miquo follow up with some eminent bars. The keys are given room to do their thing, creating a sound that perfectly complements Miquo’s delivery. One detail I particularly enjoyed was how the keys seem to speed up alongside Miquo as he picks up the pace in his verse. It’s a subtle touch, but if you listen closely, you’ll catch it. Details like that make the listening experience even better.

Now, let’s get to the raps, because this shit is TOO TUFF.

Miquo’s sinister rhyme schemes are on point throughout the track, bringing a rugged level of aggression and confidence to the record. He leads a prestigious level of grit from start to finish, keeping the energy alive while letting his pen do the talking. A level of ferocity is seen in multiple pockets of the track, Miquo gets personal with the message but also skillful with the story pattern that will bring you to menacing features that he delivered adequately in the track, almost like fear coming to life right on the track which makes this a more important feature to really appreciate.

Between Moe The Conduit’s production and Miquo’s commanding presence on the mic, the two put together something worth running back. “New Jack” is one of those records that demands you set it on rotation for your weekend and be glad youdid.
