Lilly Aviana - Is It Love (Album)
What a feeling to see, before Valentine’s Day, the most romantic day of the year, what I thought was going to be a new single from Lilly Aviana turned out to be a full-length project of eight records tightly wrapped up in the name of “Is It Love”. This project was greatly introduced by her previous single “On My Mind” where it gave a perfect indication of what to expect to where as soon as the intro plays that does a beautiful job of capturing a feeling almost too real, not knowing of this love will be true, your mind reminding of past experiences your brain doing everything it can to talk you out of it but your heart so full that it wants THIS relationship to be true.
Lilly Aviana spoke to her fans about patience, saying it was well worth the wait. Her initial single definitely kept our anticipation high, but to me, it’s the ballad “Is It Love” that exceeds expectations. Applause the person who did the production because the drums at the beginning match my heartbeat, then add Lilly’s ethereal vocals that float throughout the single, doubling down on this chance with a love interest, even if that means putting all her chips in, she thinks the risk is worth the gamble to be happy again. Lilly Aviana opens up with passionate, heartfelt records, her personal life seeping in, making this a relatable jump and also highlighting how musically powerful she is. The production is flawless; her harmony resides right in every beat, where her voice spreads gracefully with each rhythm, so not only do you hear her glow with presence, but the production helps back that up by defying expectations. I’ve enjoyed the countless records and projects we’ve heard from Lilly before, but this one is different; it’s growth at its finest, and shows even after the vicious tolls heartbreak can have, you still want to see love at the end of the day, through war and all.
“Is It Love” is peak emotion; Lilly Aviana not only silences the doubters and nonbelievers but also makes the love speak volumes. It is a must that if she decides to tour this project, I must be present, because if it’s this great in audio form, god knows how it’ll be in person. Blessings to Lilly Aviana, and the wait was definitely worth it.
