Southside Hoodlum - real (pt 3) (EP)
Southside Hoodlum is back with the third installment of his “real” series, officially dropping at the beginning of August and continuing the momentum he’s been building throughout the year.
The 9-track EP finds Southside Hoodlum stomping heavy over hard-hitting production, featuring three collaborators: Mike Dimes, Real Slummy, and Cartel Bo. Each collaboration adds another layer to the project without taking away from Southside’s presence, keeping the focus on his sound and delivery throughout the EP.
For the past couple of months, Southside Hoodlum has been giving listeners previews of some of the records, slowly building anticipation for the release. Those teasers gave fans a glimpse of what was coming while building curiosity about which tracks would ultimately make the final cut.
Now, with “real” (pt3) officially out, listeners can finally experience the project in its entirety. The wait has paid off as Southside Hoodlum builds on the foundation of the “real” series and establishes his latest chapter with a concise 9-track offering. Pumping that slow-tempo flow and signature cadence in the mix really pushes his range further, creating a hard-knocking gem to play at ignorant levels.
With the previews now turning into a full release, “real (pt 3)” feels like another step forward for Southside Hoodlum and a continuation of the sound and energy he’s been developing throughout the series.
