TEARS - Switchin Up (Single)
Since the release of her April ballad “Me Dejaste Caer,” fans have been praying to have more of TEARS music to enjoy where she hasn’t left her listeners on read but instead has been previewing unreleased music via her Instagram posts & stories showing that music is coming but is taking some time to perfect it for her fandom. We love to see an artist keep her fans updated, and it’s been an exciting experience, especially since some of the previews have been special. I’m still anxiously waiting on that “Monster” single like everyone else, which she has stated in the near future as a release date. It still doesn’t go without notice, so when TEARS mentioned that something would be surfacing from her soon in the new year, fans were grown with anticipation to see something new emerge, which last week they got that surprise and have been enjoying the aftermath. Using the VHS still of her in the shower that she used for her sold-out tees, TEARS stamps that as the cover art for her latest single, “Switchin Up,” which immediately had us hooked to her dreamy tone on the wordplays, and the infectious chorus that spins an emotional tale together for you to enjoy again and again.
TEARS shares that she’s willing to show you the things on her mind for you & her, but only if you're willing to pay attention; she’ll give you the time. She also makes it known that switching up on her should be considered a punishable crime, and the consequence of committing such a devious offense is not being able to receive another moment of her time again. She confesses it hurt her almost like the coupe de gras to her heart on the pain you caused, putting all her love into someone to be taken away in such a cold manner. TEARS still embarks into this record as a mysterious entity, dishing out her soul in the rhythm and her heart in the words; it always amazes me to see such a light shine in her voice that really brings tears to her music. The joyous moments of TEARS ballad are zesty moments to go back and forth in English and Spanish. It’s something she’s done previously before, but she has this aura to do it so stunningly that you become mesmerized by her voice right there at the moment. In the second verse, it’s highlighted in TEARS angelic vocals of her pinpointing a schedule of her time with you while breaking apart towards the chorus; it’s a euphoric theme of her artistry to give you something majestic while building the harmony to an everlasting vibe.
TEARS has mentioned that a visualizer for the release will be out soon and shows a brief preview of it on her Instagram. She has also announced a few tour dates where you can see her live starting next month in San Antonio.
